Park City Santa Pub Crawl
Taking place this year on Saturday, December 7, the pub crawl had grown exponentially since its inception several years ago. Created by locals Hilary Reiter and Rachel Sharwell, the festive night welcomes those 21 and over to sport holiday-themed costumes and spread holiday cheer to the bars on Main Street.
Pub crawlers typically comprise a healthy mix of ages from those in their 20s to 70s, and several hundreds attend each year. It’s quite a spectacle as people tend to get seriously clever with their costumes. Expect plenty of reindeer, Mrs. Clauses, Santa Clauses, Santa’s Little Helpers, human Christmas Trees, Jesuses, angels, and more!
Crawlers are welcome to join from the start or at any of the bars along the way, and there is no fee to participate. Several hundred toys are collected and donated for the Park City Toy Drive each year, so please bring at least one unwrapped toy to contribute at Downstairs.
Recommendations: plan a safe way to get home or book a hotel room (some even offer special Santa Pub Crawl rates). It’s also wise to bring cash (remember what that is?). The bars tend to get packed, and sometimes it can be a wait for credit cards to be processed.
