The Pony Express

Tuesday March 29th, 2011

The Pony Express produced an enduring legacy despite a brief 19-month existence. Was it the adventurous, young riders who galloped their way into American hearts? Or Buffalo Bill Cody, who celebrated the Pony Express after its expiration in his Wild West shows? Whatever the answer, the mystery and romance that surround its history continue today.

The Park City Museum in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Pony Express, hosts an exhibit from March 29th through May 2, 2011.  Check the Museum's Events Page for an updated list of programs and events being held in conjunction with The Pony Express including a presentation on Thursday, April 7th at 6pm with Joseph Hatch.  Mr. Hatch will talk about the wild and wonderful world of Pony Express stations in Utah.

Don't forget, Tuesday, April 12 is Locals Apreciation day at the musem.  No entrance fee that day.
