MONTY & KELLEY COATES CELEBRATE 35 YEARS OF ECLECTIC HOME FURNISHINGS AT SOUTHWESTERN EXPRESSIONS AND PINE
PARK CITY, UTAH (Oct. 25, 2022) – Family-owned businesses Southwestern Expressions and Pine, members of the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA), mark an impressive milestone this year. Husband-and-wife-team Monty and Kelley Coates ring in 35 years of sharing their unique collections of art, jewelry and home décor with loyal patrons and millions of intrigued passersby who stroll historic Main Street.
“As small business owners in the heart of Park City, we have had the privilege of being part of our community’s economic growth and evolution over the years,” said Monty Coates, co-owner of Southwestern Expressions and Pine. “We enjoy serving customers who stop by to browse our wide variety of offerings, as well as guests with a particular gift or accent in mind. We take great pride in handpicking our selections, and it brings us such joy to share them with our visitors.”
The successful merchants opened Southwestern Expressions in 1987, a beloved gift shop that has been a fixture in Park City’s historic district ever since. Located at 312 Main Street, the store features an ever-changing inventory of art, jewelry and home accents. Specialty items include unique drinkware, handmade oil candles, classic hand-carved mahogany Western rocking horses, vintage air and sea models, renowned Fimo Creations clay sculptures, and an evolving selection of thoughtful Park City souvenirs and keepsakes.
Just steps up the street lives Pine, Southwestern Expressions’ younger sister store. Geared toward feminine tastes, Pine features rare jewelry finds, carefully curated touches of home including cozy pillows, throw rugs and one-of-a-kind art pieces, and the perfect gift for any occasion.
Both stores are open daily from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. For requests and questions regarding availability of inventory, please visit southwestshop.com and pineparkcity.com.
