The Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent cinema festival in the United States and is held every January in Park City, Utah. Historic Park City is the hub for the Festival with five venues in the District, not to mention the numerous storefronts that are filled by Sundance Film Festival sponsors.
You can't start your Sundance Film Festival experience without tickets. Don't worry if you did not plan ahead and order online. Just stop by the Box Office at 136 Heber Avenue, starting January Park City Main Box Office January 15th when general ticket sales begin.
The Egyptian Theatre, at 328 Main Street, is often seen in photos with the marquee proudly announcing the arrival of the Festival. Crowds line the sidewalk throughout the 10 days with people waiting for the last minutes seats available.
The Kimball Art Center, at 638 Park Avenue, will once again host the Sundance HouseStop by to warm up or grab a quick bite and relax in the café while you check your email or peruse the latest festival event and screening information. Sundance House is completely wireless with plenty of space for small meetings or to meet up with your Festival friends! Take a break from the chaos of Main Street to experience the latest in HP's interactive technology. From music events like A Celebration of Music in Film to panel discussions to daily sponsor giveaways on the deck, there's a range of happenings at the Sundance House Presented by HP.
The Filmmaker Lodge takes over the top floor of the Elks Building, 550 Main Street, to allow for a casual meeting place and café which is designed to cultivate dialogue among filmmakers, industry leaders, and the press. The Filmmaker Lodge presents Cinema Café and At the Lodge, a series of lively panel discussions and conversations on a range of current issues. You'll find everything about documentary and fiction filmmaking, as well as an outreach table with information on services offered by media arts and film industry organizations. The Filmmaker Lodge is open to all Festival credential holders.
The Sundance Film Festival presents the Sundance ASCAP Music Café, in the Rich Haines Gallery at 751 Main Street. The ASCAP Music Café is a dynamic showcase for live performances by emerging and established artists, including solo acts and major bands. Stop in during the day to hear a range of exciting songwriters and artists from across the musical spectrum in a program produced by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). This venue is open to all Festival credential holders (21 and over).
