If you’re anything like me, you live for weekends! You love the long days and even longer nights. Unfortunately, weekends are short – too short, and then come Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday. You need somewhere to be, to be seen and to see. We’ve given this conundrum of Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday some thought and are ready to share some ideas of a couple of places to hang your hat up and relax for a bit.

Let’s face it; Monday is the best recovery day. If you do go out, you can take your pick of local establishment. If you need something more than just a mellow Monday, The Cabin has Open Mic night. Needless to say, if you still have a headache from the weekend, open mic may not the best choice. But if you handled the weekend like a champion (or maybe you were working) then head over and enjoy watching people do what they do best, making a fool of themselves.

Taco Tuesday? Doesn’t that sound nice? Of course it does, because add the word ‘taco’ to just about anything, and I’ll enjoy it. And that’s where Rock & Riley’s comes in. Don’t let the name fool you though, because this Irish pub can do tacos. In fact, they’ll leave you wondering if tacos were an Irish creation. Go visit Travis Baldus and Adam Johnson for a good time.

Now Rock & Riley’s isn’t the only game in town, and not even the only Irish game in town. There’s also O’Shucks Bar & Grill and the famous Tuesday $3 schooners and burgers.

If you’re a local or want to hang where the locals do, I’ve got the perfect place for you. Just head on Downstairs! Downstairs offers discounts on Wednesday to those that work in “The Industry”. That means that those hard at work while others are playing, finally get a day to honor their sacrifices. So if you work in the ski, snowboard, or service industry, there’s no cover! Skullcandy sponsors industry Night, so you know it’s going to be good, and it’s going to be loud. Miss DJ Lux will turn it up while you dance and drink those mid-week blues away. Oh, and you can afford to drink them away because they’ve got $2 whiskey and $2 vodka. Need I say more? I didn’t think so.

If you live for live music, the new kid on the blog has shows all the time!  Check out O.P. Rockwell and for a line-up of both local favorites and nationally touring acts. I recently saw The Brothers Comatose and they rocked the socks off of that place! This place will make you feel like it's Friday seven nights a week, so be careful, because Monday comes a knockin’ and it’s usually loud, and not as pleasant as The Brothers Comatose. But like I said earlier, Main Street has a cure for Monday Madness too.
