1. What is your name?
    Jill Rathburn & Don Croce
  2. What is the name of your business?
    Livin' Life Park City
  3. Where are you from?
We are both from the east coast. Jill was born and raised in Lancaster, PA. Don was born and raised in Philadelphia. As a married couple, they spent 18 years in Columbia, Maryland before moving to Park City.
  4. How many years have you been in Park City?
    10 years
  5. How many years have you been on Main Street?
Livin' Life Park City opened its doors in 2002 by founders Bill Lutz and Krista Wilhelmsen. We bought the store in April 2008. In 2010, Bill and Krista returned to Park City to work alongside with us.
  6. Tell us about yourself.
We are health professionals (pharmacist and nurse, respectively) and started a medical communications company to provide marketing and educational services to pharmaceutical companies. We grew the business to a midsized agency before selling it in 2005, and then moving to Park City that same year.
We have 3+ sons. Their oldest, Chris, graduated Park City High School (PCHS) in 2010, and then four years later from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. He now lives in Nashville forging a music career. Our second son, Dominic graduates from PCHS this June and will head to UC Berkeley's College of Engineering in the fall. Our third son, Bryan, will be a junior at PCHS in the fall, while our fourth son, a springer spaniel named Kirby, turns 13 this summer. We love to cycle, ski, hike and play card and board games. Music is a big passion for too.
When we visited Park City as tourists, Livin' Life was always a favorite store to stop in. Once we became Parkites, after a couple of years of settling into all that Park City has to offer, Jill was ready to get engaged in the local business community. At the same time, Bill and Krista were ready for someone else to operate their shop, and soon a favorite customer became the new store owner.
  7. Tell us about your business.
Livin' Life Park City is an artisan boutique with a collection of home decor, jewelry, and unique gifts. While local and regional artists design with the rocky mountain or southwest flair, most everything in the store would look gorgeous in any home anywhere in the states. The store's jewelry lines include authentic contemporary Navajo inlay jewelry, Park City's own TommyKnockers silver and gold jewelry, and other exquisite handcrafted jewelry pieces from a variety of artists. The boutique also features ceramic work by Salt Lake City's Kevin Frazier who creates stunning raku pottery wall art depicting the iconic aspen trees of our mountain town. Other artists create radiant copper wall panels, metal ski art, and creative fun clocks. In addition, Livin' Life Park City carries unique gifts, such as winter wonderland barware, carved Utah septarian stones, and many styles of picture frames. Endless wonders for men & women of all ages can be found in our boutique.
  8. Describe Historic Park City in 5 words?
    authentic, dynamic, personable, hometown, one-of-a-kind
  9. What is your favorite time of year in Park City? Why?
Of course, the skiing is world class here, but the summer is our favorite season because the weather is magnificent! Days are warm, but not hot, and there is no humidity (especially compared to the east coast!). The sun shines late offering long eventful days and evenings. Also, the stunning natural wildflowers begin in mid-June and peak towards the end of July. Hiking the Albion Basin is a yearly ritual. The hometown 4th of July parade is spectacular and full of entertaining floats that all represent the essence of Park City.
  10. Anything else you would like to share?
There a number of great galleries as well as fun souvenir stores on Main Street. Stop by Livin' Life Park City to see why our customers say we're "More Than A Gallery. More than a Gift Shop."
