Root’d founder and lead designer Melissa Berry came to Park City to visit about nine years ago. This Ohio native instantly connected with the small town feel and kind locals. She quickly knew she and pup Buckley belonged in Park City, and they have never looked back. We’re certainly happy to have Melissa’s forward approach toward interior design on Main Street.

Melissa’s mother, Karen Crotty, is an interior designer. As a child, Melissa would join Karen on job sites and would tag along as Karen sourced unique items for clients. Melissa’s father, Kevin Crotty, is a businessman. Melissa took the best of both parents, combined their skills with her passion and the concept for Root’d was born. Not simply an interior design group, Root’d is a place you can go filled with creatives where you can have your vision for your home or business translated into a reality. If you don’t have a clear direction already that is great too! The design team at Root’d loves to help guide and see a project through to achieve an overall feeling.

You may not realize that Root’d is more than meets the eye. The retail presence on Main Street is strong, but did you know that the main focus at Root’d is design? You can find a full design studio and staff upstairs at Root’d.

Root’d has had a home on Main Street since 2011. Originally she shared a space with Kristen and Blaire from Flight. A few years later, she had the opportunity to open her own space in the current location. Melissa loves the camaraderie between shop owners. While there is a healthy level of competition everyone is always there to help one another out if needed.

Personally, Melissa enjoys heading to Main Street for outings with her friends and family for girls nights, date nights, lunch, coffee, or just to stroll and hang. Melissa also loves to recommend Main Street for its vibrant shopping scene. She frequents fellow Main Street boutiques for shopping, art, food, books, spa, and everything in between.

Stop by the shop at 596 Main Street, or visit them on the worldwide web at www.rootdhome.com. Sign up for emails to stay in the loop with what’s going on at Root’d and for regular design inspiration.
