1. Tell us about yourself
I moved here to ski, but once I tore my ACL I became a long-time snowboarder. I am not married and have an eleven year-old son. I like to travel, and I miss the beach like crazy. And, I love live music.
I have worked in the Park City community since 1991, serving in many different roles - restaurants, catering, event services, Director of Events at PC Jazz Foundation (’06-’08), Event Director at Savor the Summit (’08-‘10), Sponsorship Hospitality for an Olympic Sponsor (2002), etc.
From 1996-2006, I worked as a freelance event coordinator travelling the world with corporate events. I’ve worked five Olympics and have plans to work the upcoming Sochi 2014 Olympics.
I joined the staff at the Egyptian in 2011.
2.Tell us about the Egyptian Theatre.
The Egyptian Theatre far outdates me in Park City. It opened in 1926 on the site of a previous theatre, which had collapsed under heavy snowfall. The Egyptian motif was very popular at that time, after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. Other Egyptian Theatres were built around the country and several also survive today. The Egyptian has been a movie house and a place for live performances.
3. Describe Historic Park City in five words.
Unique, Inclusive, Picturesque, The center of a community.
4. What is your favorite time of the year in Park City? Why?
Summer. I love the extended daylight; each day seems loaded with possibility and opportunity. I need more summer and sunlight after so many long winters.
5. Top 3 Historic Park City businesses and why?
Chimayo, The Riverhorse, Egyptian Theatre. Three really solid performers and staples of fabulous entertainment
6. Anything else you would like to share?
I can’t imagine living in Park City without visiting Main Street often. For me, all my Park City history has circled on and around Main Street and Old Town. As one of the generation of 1990-2000 ski bums, my whole existence was up here: Skiing, working, living, and my social life. Oh, the stories.....!
