There’s a reason why November was coined “Snowvember”. Park City Mountain Resort received 63 inches of snow at their Summit Snow stake, which doubles the 30 inches they averaged the last five years, and is well above the 36 year November average of 47 inches. The November snowfall hasn’t been our typical light, fluffy Utah powder, but has been a heavier snow with greater water density, which is perfect for building a great base to create amazing conditions all season long.
All this early snow allowed Park City Mountain Resort to open before Thanksgiving, and we continue to see them open additional terrain every day. Additional terrain openings include:
Thursday, December 2
Saturday, December 4
Town Lift (uploading and downloading only) Gorgoza Park
Last weekend PCMR opened the McConkey’s area and the Pinion Ridge side of Jupiter Peak, which is one the earliest openings in recent memory. The Three Kings Terrain Park has 15 jib features and a recently opened jump line with 30’ and 45’ jumps.
Early season conditions do exist. Additional terrain will open as conditions warrant.
Deer Valley is set to open on Saturday, December 4th. Finally, Canyons will see their opening day on Friday, December 10th.
