Spring is in the air here in Historic Park City, which has us thinking spring fashion. After months of bundling up in sweaters, scarves, and boots we can’t wait to shed a few layers and enjoy the lighter look of spring. If you happen to follow any Historic Park City Utah boutiques on Instagram, you’re probably as excited as we are for spring fashion.

We went directly to the experts on the street to learn what we must have this spring. The answer: all of it! Keep reading for tips from a few of the boutiques in Historic Park City.

"Its about the time to break out the spring classics: pastels, floral and bold hues. This year to add a little extra style to your spring wardrobe, look out for these key trends. Lavender is the color of the season and dark denim is everywhere. Think details like stripes, patterns and jackets. Fringe accessories are a fun way to add color and texture to any spring look. Belted paper boy trousers spice up your work week ensemble and midi dresses can be dressed up or down and are easy throw on pieces. Something you probably already have in your closet that adds simple elegance to any style are a pair of hoop earrings. Tie it all together with a pair of flat, open toed sandals."

Fashion tip:

"Its always fun and exciting to be on trend but the most important thing is to find what makes you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin. Remember to push yourself and try new things so you can find what makes you feel special."

We're obsessing over Line + Dot Jumpsuits, perfect for layering and versatile enough to wear casually or dressed up. The Annka Jumpsuit is in a raisin color that will pair perfectly with wine on the patio. With deep-v mesh detailing, it has a sexy touch that elevates it from casual to date night.

X Marks the spot with the Kaith X-Back Jumpsuit, also from Line & Dot. Frills, midi length, halter neck. Talk about perfection. Looking for a white statement making piece to add to your collection? This is it.

Mules are everywhere this Spring, and we couldn't be happier. Lori Harris, owner of Mary Jane's, explains why Mules are so popular.

"We absolutely love the versatile mule this spring and summer. They can be worn with jeans, shorts, rompers and even with your swimsuit and a cover up. This year's versions will jazz up everything with tweed, embroidery, bright colors and block heels."

One of the featured shoes at Mary Jane's is the Frye Blake Sedona Mule.

Jumpsuits and overalls are in high demand.

Denim on Denim - lots of distressed fabrics, boyfriend cut, cut off and frayed on the bottoms, piping or strips down the side.

Bright colors - especially pink.

Fanny packs are back!

Flowy dresses that hit mid calf. Fun bright floral prints (think little house on the Prairie or Dorothy’s dress from Wizard of Oz!)

Flats and fashion sneakers are all the rage for summer.

Camo print is huge. Every designer is cutting something from it.
