APRIL BRINGS PARK CITY FOLLIES, GALLERY STROLL & FREE PARKING TO HISTORIC PARK CITY

The Historic Park City Alliance invites locals and visitors to take advantage of a collection of events celebrating the local community – as well as free parking in the China Bridge garage – all month long. Music performances and the beloved Park City Follies returns to The Egyptian Theatre, along with a free day at the Park City Museum, and the Park City Gallery Association’s Gallery Stroll.  

Visitors to Historic Park City can enjoy free parking in the China Bridge garage beginning Monday, April 1 through Monday, July 1, 2024.

Henry Shields: Early Pioneer of Park City Lecture at the Park City Museum
Wednesday, April 17 | 5 – 6 p.m.

Judge Henry Shields may be the most influential Parkite you’ve never heard about.

Born in Belfast in 1842, Shields moved to Park City in 1879. He was a sheriff, a probate judge, an elected Park City attorney, a Summit County attorney, arrested and charged with murder, helped prosecute murders, and assisted in defending murderers. He also helped bring electricity to City Hall and Main Street. This lecture will be given by Judge Henry’s great-great grandson, Matt Shields. 

Park City Follies at The Egyptian Theatre
Thursday, April 18 – Sunday, May 5

Enjoy the annual lampoon of all things Park City starring an all-local cast. This parody features live music, singing, dancing, and short films, and is a fundraiser for the tuition-free YouTheatre Program. Always a sell-out show!

Park City Museum FREE Day
Saturday, April 20 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Illustrating Park City’s rich history from booming silver mining town to world-class skiing destination, the award-winning Park City Museum offers interactive exhibits, artifacts, and the city’s original basement jail. Admission is FREE on select days for friends and family to enjoy the museum. Enjoy the Postcards from Mecca: The California Desert Photographs by Susie Keef Smith and Lula Mae Graves exhibit now until July 7, 2024.

Park City Gallery Stroll
Friday, April 26 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of art, food, drinks, music, and great company while strolling along scenic Main Street in Park City. Participating galleries open their doors to the public for a fun, casual cultural experience. Look for Park City Gallery Association flags. Free event the last Friday of every month.
