DECEMBER DELIVERS SANTA, LIVE SHOWS & HOLIDAY SPECIALS TO HISTORIC PARK CITY
With the holidays on their merry way, Historic Park City encourages guests to check off their holiday shopping lists and find the perfect local gifts for family and friends this year. Locals and vacationers can also enjoy holiday concerts and live performances and savor delicious Christmas and New Year’s Eve dining specials and celebrations to ring in 2025.
“Main Street in December is truly something to behold, with lights strung, trees lit, and a tangible warmth from shop owners that almost makes you forget it’s cold outside,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “Holiday spirit is alive and well, to say the least, whether visitors are looking to be part of the hustle and bustle or prefer to slow down and simply stroll to take in the magic.”

Holiday Window Display Contest
Now – Friday, 12/13
Main Street visitors can cast their votes in the Holiday Window Display Contest. Businesses will showcase their unique wintry holiday storefronts, and a public vote will decide the top three winners that will be announced on Dec. 14.
Snow Globe Stroll & Scavenger Hunt
Now – Friday, 1/3
While leisurely roaming up and down Main Street, visitors can experience the magic of Main Street this winter with the Snow Globe Stroll Scavenger Hunt. Take a stroll and explore seven life-sized snow globes decorated by local artists, each designed to bring a little extra wonder to your holiday season. Every globe contains hidden items—can you find them all? Whether you're with friends, family, or exploring solo, enjoy the festive atmosphere as you hunt for hidden treasures within each globe.
Reading Black Bear Behavior Lecture
Wednesday, 12/4 | 5 – 6 p.m.
This lecture given by Michael Rutter, an award-winning author and a wildlife photographer, debunks myths and assumptions about black bears, and educates audiences about how to “read a bear” that will make the woods a safer place. He spends several months a year doing field research on grizzly and black bears, and his outdoor essays and articles have been published from Yale University to Outdoor Life. He’s written forty books and textbooks. Michael is an adjunct professor of English at BYU, a Christa McAuliffe Fellow, and an AT&T Scholar. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.
Christmas with the Celts at The Egyptian Theatre

Christmas with the Celts perform a wonderful combination of timeless ancient Irish Christmas Carols and lively Irish dance with modern contemporary songs but with Irish instrumentation.
Kenneth Peloke at Gallery MAR
Friday, 12/6
Having taught himself to paint and draw at age seven, Kenneth Peloke meticulously depicted the natural world around him and then layered his academic study of art and music into a deep appreciation for abstraction. While practical concerns led him to choose a career in graphic design, the sea of change that is fatherhood allowed him to rediscover the drifter-artist within.
Fashion’s First Friday – Park City Style
Friday, 12/6 | 4 – 7 p.m.
Boutiques along Main Street open their doors to offer a unique shopping experience on the first Friday of every month. Participating boutiques include The Collective Park City, We Norwegians, Panache, Grace Clothiers, Chamomile, JW Bennett, Flight, Cake, Olive & Tweed, and Romy. Each boutique will offer snacks, libations, and special experiences such as brand showcases, pop-ups, discounts, and other exclusive deals. Attendees can also enter to win a First Friday Goodie Bag filled with items donated by the participating boutiques.

Park City Santa Pub Crawl
Saturday, 12/7 | 6 p.m.
Don holiday-themed costumes, bring a new, unwrapped toy, and enjoy a festive pub crawl up Main Street. The group will begin at Butcher’s Chop House and make stops at Downstairs, No Name Saloon, The Cabin, Flanagan’s on Main, The Spur Bar & Grill, and end at The Marquis for a finale party with special guests, RATS (Rage Against the Supremes). New this year: Bring an extra toy or donate $10 at The Marquis to benefit Operation Hope and be entered to win Brunch for two at Stein Eriksen Lodge or a night’s stay at Hotel Park City with a voucher towards dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
Edward Ferry, Park City’s Capitalist Lecture
Wednesday, 12/11 | 5 – 6 p.m.
This lecture given by Sandy Brumley and Michael O’Malley, explores the exploits of the wealthy Edward P. Ferry, whose questionable real estate methods led to The Red Hot Riot. He was the central character in a group called “The Michigan Bunch,” developed the Crescent, Woodside, Mayflower and Silver King Mines through The Marsac Companies, and was eventually sued by his family members for how he used the family wealth. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.
Park City’s Holiday Spectacular and Sing-Along at The Egyptian Theatre
Friday, 12/13 – Sunday, 12/22
This highly-anticipated, family-friendly annual holiday variety show features song, dance, and skits of holiday favorites from an all-local cast! Featuring the audience favorite choir-led sing-alongs and a visit from Santa himself.
Park City Museum FREE Day
Saturday, 12/21 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Illustrating Park City’s rich history from booming silver mining town to world-class skiing destination, the award-winning Park City Museum offers interactive exhibits, artifacts, and the city’s original basement jail. Admission is FREE on select days for friends and family to enjoy the museum.
Santa Comes Down the Town Lift
Saturday, Dec. 21 | 5 p.m.
Santa will be doing a trial run the week before the Christmas holiday and will make an appearance coming down Park City’s Town Lift. Kids can drop their letters to Santa in Santa’s Mailbox at Miner’s Park by Dec. 22 to ensure all wishes arrive to the North Pole in time.

Grand Menorah Lighting & Parade
Wednesday, Dec. 25 & Saturday, Dec. 28
Celebrate the first night of Hannukah at the Grand Menorah Lighting in Miner’s Park on Dec. 25 at 5:30 p.m. and enjoy the Menorah Parade on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. The parade will start at the top of Main Street and proceed downhill, following Main Street to Park Avenue, and ending at Miner’s Hospital.
