This site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and to see which pages and listings people use. Google sets its own cookies for that, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id, which tell one browser's visits apart from another's. They do not tell us who you are.

What the Alliance sees is the website address you used (the hostname), the pages you visited, the listings you opened, the links you followed to a business, and the words you typed into the site's own search box. That is all. No name, no email address, no location.

Visitors have no accounts here. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to, so this site keeps nothing about you between visits.

If you ask about joining the Alliance or managing a listing, the details you put in that form go to the Historic Park City Alliance, which reviews every request by hand. They are used to answer you and for nothing else.

The directory lists members first and, within each group, in a random order that stays the same while you browse. To hold that order steady, the site keeps one random number in your browser's session storage. It identifies nothing, it is never sent anywhere, and it goes when you close the tab.
