
Main Street Water Line Improvement Project Updates
Project Update: Monday, May 13, 2025
Crews continue to make progress replacing fire lines and water service lines to individual properties as Phase III of the Main Street Water Line replacement project. The specific areas crews are working include:
Main Street building numbers 368-350, 333 and 361 were completed last week
Yesterday, May 12, crews began working on Main Street, building numbers 324 south to Brew Pub Lot
May 21-22: crews expect to begin milling and patch paving project trenches

During Phase III crews will tie-in individual water service and fire lines. The individual tie-ins are more detailed, invasive, and time-intensive than the installation of the main line
Construction equipment and other supplies will be stored securely on the shoulders of Main Street at night and in the Brew Pub Lot
Noise from machinery
Crews may need access into businesses periodically
Old Town parking will remain free throughout the duration of the project (except during special events)
Main Street from 5th to 4th Street:
April 7-May 1, 2025, Work Zone | 5th Street to 4th Street:
Main Street, from 5th Street to 4th Street – the project area – will be closed during work hours. This area will reopen after project hours to traffic and parking
Delivery trucks will be able to enter the project area from both directions
Sidewalk closures will be in place, pedestrians will be directed to the opposite side of the street from work being performed. Business access on the closed side of roadway will be accessible by crossing street at the business location
Main Street, between Heber Avenue and 5th Street: open to two-way travel
Top of Main, between 4th Street and Swede Alley: open to two-way travel
5th Street (by the Post Office) will be switched to one-way heading east for one month
