GEOFFREY GERSTEN: NEW WORKS

Gallery MAR is pleased to present Geoffrey Gersten's first exhibition with the gallery, New Works.

Gersten's paintings are inspired by the nostalgic objects of everyday American life. Vintage matchbooks, bottle caps, classic toys, and advertising memorabilia become the subjects of striking large-scale oil paintings that transform ordinary keepsakes into extraordinary works of art.

Working with remarkable precision, Gersten creates paintings that appear almost photographic from a distance, yet reveal the expressive brushwork and craftsmanship of traditional oil painting upon closer inspection. His mastery of classical technique, paired with deeply personal subject matter, celebrates the timeless beauty found in familiar objects and cherished memories.
