
HISTORIC PARK CITY ANNOUNCES OLIVE OIL TASTINGS, MINING HISTORY SKI TOURS & GALLERY EVENTS IN FEBRUARY
This month, the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) delivers a full slate of live entertainment, delicious tasting courses, informative history lectures, and art events to encourage locals and visitors to visit wintry Historic Main Street throughout February.
“With winter lovers flocking to the slopes, there are plenty of ways to explore Historic Park City before and after a day on the mountain,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “A variety of live music and stage performances at The Egyptian, recipe tastings at Mountain Town Olive Oil, and our monthly Gallery Stroll are just a few of the many experiences to enjoy this month.”

FOSMMH Mining History Ski Tour
Tuesday, 2/11 | 1:15 – 3:30 p.m.
Join the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History for a mining history ski tour of Park City Mountain Resort to learn about preservation projects – both current and past. Visit stabilization projects and learn about Park City’s rich mining history and efforts to save the Silver King and Thaynes mine complexes. RSVP for this free tour here.
Anders Osborne at The Egyptian Theatre
Thursday, 2/6 – Saturday, 2/8
Known as a prolific songwriter and for his unique style of guitar playing, Anders Osborne will be performing with special guest Brad Walker. Osborne describes his 17th full-length album, Picasso's Villa, "a condensed story about living in America between 2018-2021."

Olympic History of Park City Lecture
Wednesday, 2/12 | 5 – 6 p.m.
Over the past decades, Park City has become one of the most noted mountain towns in the world — a true Olympic community where you rub shoulders with gold medalists over coffee and kids grow up in a culture of sport. With the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games returning to Utah in 2034, historian and former head of communications for the U.S. Ski Team Tom Kelly will reflect on Utah’s Olympic origins and the role Park City continues to play. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.

The Last Passenger Train to Park City – All Aboard! Lecture
Thursday, 2/27 | 5 – 6 p.m.
This lecture will be given by David Nicholas and Stuart Stanek. February 1971 witnessed the last passenger train “forever” to Park City. The lecture chronicles the circumstances underpinning this event, Park City railroad’s history, the evolution of Ski Trains (both nationally and locally), the demise of intercity passenger service, and the birth of Amtrak. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.
