NICK VEASEY'S X-RAY PHOTOGRAPHY COMES TO PARK CITY REVEALING WHAT LIES BENEATH

Nick Veasey, a man with X-ray vision, has spent the past 30 years exploring the limits of radiographic imaging to create art that uncovers what’s hidden beneath the surface. His latest exhibition, Forensic Beauty, features a blend of new works and timeless classics from his extraordinary career, offering captivating images that blur the lines between art and science. Veasey transforms everyday objects through his innovative use of X-ray technology offering viewers a fresh perspective. This selection of works has the unifying theme of superficiality being unimportant and the real value to us all being what lies within. While the process of creating X-ray art is dangerous, it is this high risk that propels Veasey’s continual experimentation and innovation. He has designed a custom-built concrete bunker to safely contain the radiation, allowing him to use X-ray machines to capture subjects with incredible precision. The resulting images are not simply photographs but profound reflections on the layers that make up our world.

In an era obsessed with surface appearance, Veasey's work stands as a powerful counterpoint. With past retrospectives at major museums around the world and works held in the British National Collection of Photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Veasey’s art is highly sought after by institutions and collectors alike.
