Summer Sparkles on Main: July in Park City

This month, local businesses of the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) welcome visitors to lively stage shows at The Egyptian Theatre, not-so-lively tours of Glenwood Cemetery, gallery events, and a fresh take on the community’s reimagined Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest.   

Historic Park City has so much to offer locals and visitors this month, with our rich history, vibrant bar and restaurant scene, and eclectic arts and culture venues all on full display, and we invite guests to visit again and again to make the most of every Main Street experience.

This month’s events and specials in Historic Park City include:

Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest
Tuesday, 7/1 – Thursday, 7/31

Contenders in the Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest will be on menus at participating Park City Restaurant Association (PCARA) member restaurants. Guests are encouraged to visit as many entities as possible to try the season’s competing cocktails. New this year, a panel of secret judges will visit restaurants and decide the final 10 participants who will go on to compete at a live, ticketed event on Thursday, 8/21. Glenwood Cemetery Tours
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 10:30 a.m. – noon
Saturday, 7/19 | 10:30 a.m. – noon
Wednesday, 7/23 | 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Park City Museum will be giving tours of the Historic Glenwood Cemetery located at the end of Silver King Drive. Discover the history of the cemetery and the residents who are buried there. $15 per person. Registration is required.

Jesus Christ Superstar at The Egyptian Theatre
Wednesday, 7/9 – Sunday, 7/13

The Tony award-winning, thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus' life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. 

Bastille Day at Le Depot Brasserie & Union Patisserie

Join us for a Magnifique Bastille Day celebration in the heart of Park City! Experience a day filled with French flair, community fun, and summer joy. All free for everyone to enjoy.

Bastille Day, celebrated annually on July 14th, commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison on July 14, 1789, a pivotal event that ignited the French Revolution. This day symbolizes the end of the monarchy's oppressive rule and the beginning of a new era focused on liberty, equality, and fraternity.  As a new French Brasserie in Park City, we look forward to bringing this cultural event through food and music for all.

Park Silly Sunday Market
Sundays, 7/13 & 7/20| 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Enjoy this ecofriendly open-air market, street festival, and commUnity forum where neighbors and friends come together to celebrate the commUnity of fun and funky Park Sillians featuring local artists, vendors, and live music.

End of the Line Lecture
Wednesday, 7/16 | 5 – 6 p.m.

Given by David Nicholas and Stuart Stanek, this lecture will discuss the demise of both mining and rail service in Park City. They will explore the significant investment to modernize and expand the Ontario Mine, the decision by Union Pacific Railroad to either sell or abandon their Park City branch, and the valiant efforts to preserve the area’s rail infrastructure. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.

Dan Tyminski Band at The Egyptian Theatre
Thursday, 7/17 – Saturday, 7/19

"I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow" Dan Tyminski is an icon of modern-day Bluegrass. In addition to reaching Number 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums charts, he has also won 14 Grammy Awards.

BFG at The Egyptian Theatre
Thursday, 7/24 – Saturday, 7/26

Presented by The Egyptian YouTheatre, Roald Dahl's beloved story is brought to life in a dazzling stage production filled with imagination, magic, and unforgettable giant puppets.

Miles Glynn: Solo Exhibition at Gallery MAR
Friday, 7/25 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Gallery MAR introduces their newest represented artist, Miles Glynn, whose unique mixed-media works blend storytelling, nostalgia, and bold experimentation. His first photographic series combined images of animals with antique wallpaper, an exploration of nostalgia and forgotten aesthetics. 

Park City Art Stroll | A Friday Night Vibe
Friday, 7/25 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of art, food, drinks, and great company while strolling along scenic Main Street in Park City. Participating galleries open their doors to the public for a fun, casual cultural experience. Look for Park City Gallery Association flags. Free event the last Friday of every month.

Main Street Beats by Mountain Town Music

This summer, Mountain Town Music brings vibrant energy and unforgettable live performances to Miner's Park in the heart of Main Street. With a curated lineup of local and regional artists, the free concert series transforms this cozy outdoor venue into a lively community hub.

Trivia Tuesdays at Collie’s Sports Bar & Grill
Tuesdays | 7 – 9 p.m.

Test your knowledge every Tuesday. It’s free to pay and open to all ages.

Karaoke at Flanagan’s on Main
Saturdays | 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. 

Belt out your favorite power ballad at Saturday night karaoke over a pint and authentic Irish fayre.

Riverhorse on Main

Top of Main Brew Pub

In addition to Happy Hour, Monday – Friday, from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. where all pizzas are $10, guests can take advantage of a Bounce Back Special. After dining with Top of Main, a guest’s receipt will mention that they will receive $5 off a $30 purchase of food and non-alcoholic drinks when they return to dine again with that receipt.
