MAIN STREET CELEBRATES LOCAL BUSINESSES WITH DINE ABOUT, SUNRISE ROTARY SHOT SKI™ & HALLOWEEN ON MAIN

PARK CITY, UTAH (Oct. 12, 2023) – Fall is in full swing, and the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) invites locals and visitors to Main Street to celebrate the season. Patrons can support local restaurants at the Park City Dine About, throw one back for a good cause at the Park City Sunrise Rotary Shot Ski™ event, and dress up the family for Halloween on Main trick-or-treating. Free days at the Park City Museum, gallery strolls, and live entertainment round out a full list of happenings to enjoy throughout autumn.

“Fall is such a fun, festive time to stroll Main Street to visit your favorite spots or check out a new shop or restaurant you’ve been meaning to try,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “Dine About also returns with opportunities to enjoy our award-winning dining scene at an incredible value, along with Shot Ski and Halloween traditions that have become staples of the season. Local support of these events and our Main Street businesses is so greatly appreciated!”

Saturday, Oct. 14 – Sunday, Oct. 22

Get ready for a culinary affair featuring savory two-course lunches and three-course dinners at more than 20 local dining establishments. The best part – patrons enjoy these delectable dishes for an incredible value – just $15, $20 or $25 per person for each lunch, and $30, $45 or $60 per person for each dinner. Extend dessert into a Main Street staycation with exclusive lodging packages offered by Park City Lodging.

 

An Evening with Pat Metheny at The Egyptian Theatre

Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Saturday, Oct. 21 | 8 p.m.

Metheny earned 20 Grammy Awards spread out over a variety of different categories including Best Rock, Best Contemporary Jazz Recording, Best Jazz Solo, Best Instrumental Composition, and at one point winning seven consecutive Grammies for seven consecutive albums.

 

7th Annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski™

Saturday, Oct. 21 | 2 p.m.

Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery welcome imbibers to get in line for their shot at the 7th annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski™. The festive fall tradition takes place down the center of Main Street and aims to raise $50,000 for the Rotary Club’s community grant programs.

 

Park City Museum FREE Day

Saturday, Oct. 21 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Illustrating Park City’s rich history from booming silver mining town to world-class skiing destination, the award-winning Park City Museum offers interactive exhibits, artifacts, and the city’s original basement jail. Admission is FREE on select days for friends and family to enjoy the museum. 

 

Park City Art & Music Gallery Stroll

Friday, Oct. 27 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of art, food, drinks, music, and great company while strolling along scenic Main Street in Park City. Participating galleries open their doors to the public for a fun, casual cultural experience. Look for Park City Gallery Association flags. Free event the last Friday of every month.

 

Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes

Friday, Oct. 27 – Sunday, Oct. 29

The Godfather of 'the New Jersey sound' has been recording albums since 1976. His style is steeped in vintage blues, R&B and soul. Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m.

 

Halloween on Main

Tuesday, Oct. 31 | 3 – 5 p.m.

Dress up with your kids and go trick-or-treating on Main Street! Merchants on the street will be handing out sweet treats for all. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 2 p.m. Attendees are strongly encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, or use Park City Transit.

 

Young Frankenstein at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 3 – Sunday, Nov. 19

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation. Thursday – Saturday shows at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m.

Butcher’s Chop House & Bar Wine Spin Dinner

Saturday, Nov. 4 | 6 p.m.

Enjoy a fun, interactive, and energetic atmosphere in the Butcher’s Chop House private yurt, while indulging in a 5-course dinner paired with six fine wines. The event includes a live DJ featuring local DJ Marty Paws. Tickets are available on RESY.

 

Biz Town at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 10 – Sunday Nov. 12

Presented by the Egyptian YouTheatre and located in the Egyptian Studios. When Miss J assigns an "adult life" simulation project, her 5th grade class transforms into Biz Town, a modern city with a hospital, bookshop, zoo – and crime. One hard-boiled detective tries to uncover the criminals and ends up shaking the town to its very foundation, all in the name of a pizza party. Written by YouTheatre's Resident Playwright and starring an all-youth cast!

Colin Mochrie’s HYPROV: Improv under Hypnosis at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 24 – Sunday, Nov. 26

Starring Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It, Anyway?) and Asad Mecci (Hypnotist Extraordinaire). Volunteers from the audience under hypnosis perform Improv scenes with Master Improviser Colin Mochrie for a hilarious and memorable evening. Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m.
